You know when Mom told you about the things that you don't talk about in good company - politics, religion, or money? Well, I'm bringing 'em all to the table here; sorry Mom!!

Arab Israelis more afraid of external attack on Israel than Jewish Israelis

“Israeli Arabs are more afraid than the Jewish public of being attacked by an enemy state, according to the annual ‘National Resilience’ survey.

“Israel’s Jewish population, meanwhile, is more calm than ever about the possibility of an attack by an enemy country, the survey revealed, reporting an all-time low on its so-called ‘fear index.’ This is a continuation of a previous trend that began in 2006. The Jewish population’s fear of terror is also reportedly at an all-time low.

“The annual ‘National Resilience’ survey has been conducted since 2000. Most recently it was conducted in November during Operation Pillar of Defense, polling 2,000 respondents, including 400 Arabs. Questions covered topics such as optimism, militancy, faith in government institutions, and fear regarding a possible attack.”

Iran: we may launch preemptive attack on Israel to ignite "World War III"

Iran could launch a pre-emptive strike if Israel prepares to attack it, a senior Revolutionary Guards commander told broadcaster Al-Alam on Sunday, a day after his boss warned that conflict was inevitable.

“Should Israel and Iran engage militarily, ‘nothing is predictable… and it will turn into World War III,’ Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh told Iran’s Arabic-language television network.”

Obama calls Israeli concerns over Iranian nuclear program "noise"

“In an interview to air tonight on CBS’s 60 Minutes, President Barack Obama will refer to Israel’s concern over Iran’s march toward a nuclear program as ‘noise.’”

Surely any reasonable person can now readily admit that President Obama is not pro-Israel — not even in the most loose sense of the word.

Israel may utilize EMP attack against Iran

“Israel might attack Iran by using electromagnetic pulses (EMP) that could cripple the country by shutting down its electronics and sending the Islamic Republic ‘back to the Stone Age,’ The London Sunday Times reported.”

An EMP attack would cripple communications and other forms of technology in Iran, crippling not only its nuclear program but also its economy.

Israeli preemptive strike unlikely to cause major regional war

“If Netanyahu decides to take military action, he will do so in a strategic environment in which Israel, Iran and the US have no preference for a major war. Each state views the prospect of a war as counter to their particular long-term ambitions.

“Because of this, while serious, Iranian retaliation would be unlikely to produce an escalatory dynamic leading to war. The leadership of each of these states will restrain their respective actions in the pursuit of differing long-term objectives but common short-term ones.”

US to Iran: We won't back Israeli attack if you won't attack Gulf bases

“The United States has indirectly informed Iran, via two European nations, that it would not back an Israeli strike against the country’s nuclear facilities, as long as Tehran refrains from attacking American interests in the Persian Gulf, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Monday. According to the report, Washington used covert back-channels in Europe to clarify that the US does not intend to back Israel in a strike that may spark a regional conflict.”

Truly, you cannot be a supporter of Obama and call yourself pro-Israel.

Why UN reform can't wait

“It’s no secret that the United Nations hasn’t lived up to its billing as a champion of human rights and democratic values since its establishment in 1945. All too often, the UN system has aided and abetted some of the world’s most odious regimes—and served as a political weapon for those countries against the West. Yet even by these standards, this summer has seen an unprecedented level of rot in the world’s most powerful international forum.”

Syria civil war may be boon for Israel, US

Along with losing a key geopolitical ally in the Levant, Iran may also suffer a tactical loss. As the civil unrest in Syria grows worse by the day so does Iran’s ability to use the state as an early-warning or buffer against a possible Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities.

Iran begins construction of $300M anti-aircraft base

“Amid increasing talk of a possible Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities, Iran has begun construction of a new, state-of-the-art, anti-aircraft missile base. The new base, located near the city of Abadeh, in southern Iran, will cost $300 million, be home to 6,000 personnel, and host seven battalions, Iran’s Fars news agency reported Tuesday.”

US probing four banks for laundering money to Iran

“Germany’s Deutsche Bank and three other global banks are being investigated for money laundering to Iran, Sudan, and other sanctioned countries, The New York Times reported Saturday. They are accused of funneling billions of dollars through their American branches.

“The US has already brought charges against five other foreign banks — ABN Amro, Barclays, Credit Suisse, Lloyds and most recently ING – for moving billions of dollars, through American subsidiaries, on behalf of Iran, Cuba, and North Korea. They were charged a substantial amount of their assets.”
